  1. St. Silvestro archaeological and minerary Park . In the heart of the country - From the "Temperino" mine to the medieval castle of Rocca San Silvestro - 1,5 km far from the campground - Among the biggest in Europe Guided tours of the ancient and modern mines are organized.

  2. Baratti and Populonia Archeological Park - The Etruscans of the Iron Age - The remains of and old Etruscan town are surrounded by a green cape on one side and by the bending bay on the other. We can find traces of the ancient splendour of this civilization (which developped exploiting the iron mines of the isle of Elba) in the monumental Necropolis by the sea, with its ancient tombs built in the quarry that opens on to the woods.

  3. Wood of "Poggio Neri" -an incontaminated kingdom of chestnut-trees, holm-oaks and oak, home of roe- deers and willboars, at a short distance from of the ancient village of Sassetta clinged to the peaks of a high hill which overlooks the valley.

  4. Montioni natural Park - a green "island". Following the traces left by shepherds, hunters, woodmen, coalmen we are led into a natural environment populated by variuos animals. We can find human treaces, in the very heart of the park, among the remains of an alum quarry and of an ancient mineray village built during the Napoleonic period, at the request of Elisa Bonaparte Baiocchi.

  5. Rimigliano coastal Park - the forest by the sea - a strip of green land facing the sea where the most different kind of Mediterranean vegetation can be found: sandy dunes where bushes are gently blowed by sea-winds, cool forests of holm-oaks,cork-oaks and pine-trees.

  6. "Sterpaia" Park - an enchanting wood - This is a very precious and rare humid forest, typical of the Maremma ancient coastal landascape, miraculously survived to deforestation, where visitors can wonder charmed among secular oaks reaching eventually, beyond the sandy dunes, the Sea.

Uccellina Park - south of Grosseto.
- North entrance at Alberese, south entrance at Talamone. Only trekking and horse-riding. There are three possibilities of guided tours on Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday (A1 at 07.00am, about 5 h. walk It. Lit. 9500, A2 and A3 at 11.15 am, about 3 h. walk. The park is open all days if you want to visit it without a guide, the lenght of this kind of walk is about 2 h, the entrance is at Alberese.Discounts are made to children and elderly people and there is the possibility of tours free of charge.
