Blucamp is situated on a hill, abt. 8 km from the sea. This area is very rich in archaeological sites: about 15 km away lies the small Etruscan town of Populonia and nearby, on the homonymous gulf, the etruscan tombs of Baratti. Not far from our campsite you can visit and admire still more interesting places like the island Isola d'Elba, Massa Marittima, Florence, Volterra, San Gimignano, the enchanting S.Galgano Abbey, Pisa (reachable in only one hour by car), Roselle, Vetulonia Necropolis, the ancient villages of Sovana, Pitigliano and many others. For young people there are two very large "Water games" with giant slides, floating castles etc., which are reachable in just 20 minutes by car. Venturina (4 km from Blucamp) offers a natural thermal lake (38 degrees) open until midnight. The Natural Park of Rimigliano, at abt. 8 km from Blucamp The sea has got either sandy beaches and high pinewoods behind, or rocks and clear water like the area near Baratti. The mineral park - one of the most important of Europe with old etruscan mines that were in use up to a few years ago - offers organized trekking tours. A riding school is only 2 km away from Blucamp. Our campsite is rather small (8 bungalows and 95 camping places, some with private WC and shower) on a surface of 55,000 square meters, on large terraces shadowed by oaks and chestnut trees, with a beautiful view to the sea. Our sanitary facilities are modern and spacious, with free hot showers and there is also a washing machine available. There is a swimming pool, free for the guests of our campsite, located on a terrace with a breath-taking view. A quiet place, without any loudspeaker but with Internet Point and WI-FI area. A typical Bar-Pizzeria-Restaurant offers you home-made dishes at reasonable prices.
