Campiglia Marittima - Old medieval village, 700 mt from the camping site, built in the typical tuscany architectural style.
Florence - possibly by train. The railway station of Florence is in the town centre. By car it takes about 1 h. 30 minutes. From Campiglia go down towards S. Vincenzo. At the end of the slope take the road towards Livorno ( max speed 110 km/hour). Go past the exit for Vada (without leaving the road), and take the motorway to Genova (green sign - max speed 130 km/h), leave the motorway at Collesalvetti (do not follow the sign for Florence on the Motorway). Take the "SGC" road (Strada Grande Comunicazione max speed 90 km/h) to Florence and follow right to the end; once you are in town, after the big subway, leave the car in Viale Talenti and take the bus. ( Tickets can be bought in bars and newspaper kiosks). For the journey back to the camping site: take again the "SGC" road for about 55 km, at the Livorno-Pisa junction keep left towards Livorno. Leave the "SGC" after three exits and take the motorway "Genova-Roma" (green sign), towards Rome. The Motorway ends up in a highway, follow it and leave at S. Vincenzo sud.
