"I fell in love with Blucamp last year, during a visit of one week at a friend of mine who was already your guest. It was one of those days in which on the seaside (I have had rented a house near the beach) there wasn't even a breath of wind. I was surprised to find Blucamp pleasantly airy, with big camping places, distant one from another, surrounded by nature. I had not done camping since years but immediately I recognized that the time had come to start camping again. I visited all campsites in the area between Baratti and San Vincenzo, but after having considered the quality of the services that you offer (free hot water, spacious sanitary facilities, a beautiful swimming pool, an excellent restaurant conducted by a family and then the look on the sea, worthy to be painted) I thought: If I have to take a car for 1 km to reach the beach, it is worthy to drive about 7 km but stay in a green area instead of the confusion of a campsite with places close to each other, in a stifling heat." Giovanni Meciani June 2001 "Since the opening of Blucamp in 1984 its owners Luciano Lucarini and Maurizio Fagiuoli are very busy in improving both the campsite equipment and service. Also for the coming years an expansion is planned although it's rather modest. Therefore, Blucamp will stay a very fine and uncomplicated campsite with a cosy and simple atmosphere. The equipment is a bit standard but well kept. In all simplicity however, the campsite does have a swimming pool with terracotta stones and view on the hills and sea that would also suit very well a Tuscani farm. When you go back to your caravan, camper or tent, after having swum in the pool, it's fortunately very quiet on one of the benchs overshadowed by olive or chestnut trees. That and in addition the very good sanitary facilities and free hot water make you realize that you really have found a very nice spot to spend your holidays."
